Dustin and Peggy Lowe have been married since 2010. They are proud parents to two children, Eden (5) and William Wallace, affectionately known as Ace (3) and a loyal white lab named Mac.

As their children began to grow, Peggy and Dustin quickly realized that the traditional “conveyor belt” model of schooling wasn’t aligned with the vision they had for their family. After extensive research and reflection, they came to a powerful conclusion: what they were searching for simply didn’t exist. They would need to be the catalyst for something new.

In what they believe was an sign from God, Dustin learned about the opportunity to open an Apogee Affiliate. The timing was perfect too perfect to ignore.

The Lowes deeply believe that education is the bedrock of a thriving society. The challenges we face today and those yet to come will either be solved or worsened depending on how we educate the next generation. They are convinced that, with the right foundation, our kids are more than capable of addressing even the most daunting issues.

To truly uphold a free society, we must raise critical-thinking, sovereign individuals not passive dependents of government systems. The Lowes see how easily communities can be steered off course under misguided leadership, and their commitment to making a difference is rooted in their love for their family, their community, and their country.

Before having children, Peggy built a career in education, specializing in human development. Her pursuit of both a graduate and post-graduate degree was fueled by a deep passion for cultivating the hearts and minds of America’s most sacred resource, its youth. During her time in the public education system, she came to a sobering realization: the system was not designed to nurture critical thinking or foster a genuine love of learning. In fact, it often contradicted the very principles she had studied.

Dustin and Peggy believe that meaningful change in education must start with families. Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. That’s why the Lowes emphasize the role of the entire family in a young leader’s development. True transformation happens when learning becomes a lifelong, whole-family pursuit. Without that, change will always be limited but with it, the possibilities are limitless.
