Dustin and Peggy Lowe have been married since 2010, they have one daughter named Eden (4) and a son named William Wallace (Ace, 2), they also have a white lab named Mac. As the kids grew Peggy and Dustin decided that the conveyor belt schooling system wasn't for them so they started looking at options for their kids. After a lot of research they realized they had to be a catalyst, there wasn't anything out there that would fit their family. Then an act from God occurred, Dustin heard about the opportunity to open an Apogee school (the timing was just too perfect)! They know education is the foundation of our society, problems faced today will be solved or exacerbated by the way we educate our youth. With the right foundation, our young leaders are beyond capable of solving the most daunting of issues. Truly building a foundation of a free society requires a populace of critical thinking, sovereign individuals. The current reliance on the government or other external systems prohibits the majority of our country from living as a free society. They see the direction communities can go with the wrong
leadership and whether it is how much they care about their own family, their community, or the direction of this country, both are invested in making a difference and driving change where needed. Prior to Dustin and Peggy having the first of two children, Peggy had a career in education, specializing in
human development. The reason she originally pursued both a graduate and post graduate degree in human development was from her innate care and passion for developing and educating America’s most sacred blessing, her youth. However, in the attempt to foster a love of learning with her students, she realized the public education system was not conducive to developing critical thinkers and
even contradictory to many of the principles she had studied during her education. The public education system is in dire need of change. They owe it to our children and the families in our communities to be catalysts to drive that change. That said, the primary educator in a young leader's life are he or she's parents, as such Dustin and Peggy emphasize the power of family, and the importance the whole family plays in the success of a young leader and society in general. Without disrupting education for the whole family and getting everyone involved and invested, the probability of true change is limited. However, through lifelong learning and growth for the whole family the possibilities are limitless.

Samantha Martinez will be the coach for our 8-11 year olds. Her favorite part of being an educator is the amazing relationships that she has been able to build with her students & their families. In her free time she loves reading, traveling, and spending time outside with her husband and two dogs. She graduated from the University of Utah with her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and will graduate this fall with her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Arizona State University After teaching in various public schools and districts for the last 6 years, she realized that schools were not meeting the needs of our young leaders & their families. She was ready to make a change and was eager to be part of Apogee Utah. Sam is excited for this new chapter and can’t wait to learn and grow with the families of Apogee
